About EvalAssist AI
EvalAssist AI turns a stack of scanned answer sheets into per-student diagnostics that a class teacher can act on the same evening. Built for Indian classrooms first — CBSE, ICSE, PSEB, and the IB Diploma — it pairs OCR for handwritten answers with rubric-anchored LLM grading so every mark gained or lost is explained step-by-step against the official marking scheme.
The goal is not to replace teachers. It is to give them back the hours that bulk grading currently eats, and to surface the misconceptions that hide inside a class average. A child who scored 14/20 looks fine on a mark sheet; EvalAssist shows the teacher that 11 of those students lost the same two marks for the same reason, and proposes a remediation worksheet for that specific concept.
Under the hood: a deterministic step-match engine handles the clear cases, a vision model reads handwriting and diagrams, and an LLM only adjudicates the ambiguous middle. Every output is traceable back to a rubric clause — no black-box scores, no surprise marks. Schools own their student data; we sign a DPA before any rollout and erase on request per India's DPDP Act.
EvalAssist AI is built by Team Prachin at Robust Results Pvt Ltd. We are hiring teachers, researchers, and backend engineers who care about Indian education. Reach out via the contact page.
